Sleep Studies
Life
Care Sleep and
Health
Center performs
sleep studies in a beautiful home setting located at
Eaton
Rapids
Medical
Center.
The program allows for the
following tests:
-
Nocturnal Polysomnography
-
CPAP Titrations
-
Multiple Sleep Latency Testing
-
ETCO2 monitoring
-
SA02 Titration
Technicians specifically trained in sleep disorders perform these
tests and all are certified in basic cardiac life support.
The
patient arrives at approximately 9:00 p.m.
and spends the evening in the hospital. Small gold electrodes are
applied to the head, face and legs to monitor breathing, oxygen
level, brain wave patterns and heart rate and rhythm. The patient is
released at around
7:00 a.m.
These tests are painless and can lead to the correction of snoring,
apneas during sleep and can reduce the risk of high blood pressure
and cardiac problems.
Patients who normally sleep during the day can also be easily
accommodated by our
Sleep
Center
staff.
Your
family physician will order a sleep study if appropriate and will
inform
Eaton
Raids

Center.
