Nutritional Services

Individual appointments with the Registered Dietitian--referred by your Doctor for diabetes control, weight management, hypoglycemia, hypercholesterolemia--+many other reasons for nutrition referrals.  (insurance may or may not cover nutrition counseling--our financial counselors will let you know)---Medicare will cover for diabetes, chronic renal insufficiency/end-stage renal, post kidney transplant.

Free Diabetes Support Group every second Thursday of the month over the lunchtime hour 12:00-1:00pm in our main conference room located on the lower level of the hospital  Topics vary along with speakers.  Come find support in others with diabetes and receive this free education!

"For the Health of It" wellness classes offered to the community twice per year.  12 classes spread out over a 6 month period for $120.00 plus a 25% discount on the HealthWorks membership.  Classes cover healthy lifestyle changes you can make gradually to help with weight loss or weight maintenance and/or help with decreasing cholesterol, blood pressure levels and more!  At the end of our first program, one member said "Why don't more people take advantage of these classes?  My LDL cholesterol has never been under 100 before and I was able to go off 1 medication for breathing!"

Michigan Harvest Gathering every fall--ERMC joins with our community and schools to help feed our hungry here in Eaton Rapids.  All donations go to Heart and Hands food bank.  If everyone could donate 1 can of food or $1 we could help so many people not feel hunger!
